Dr. Elizabeth Holloway

Elizabeth Holloway, PhD  Professor of Psychology, has served on the faculties of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1991-2001), University of Oregon (1985-1991), the University of Utah (1982-1985), and the University of California, Santa Barbara (1979-1982).

She received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1979. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Holloway teaches the integration of science and practice in the service of professional development in topic areas of professional identity, supervision and mentoring relationships, interviewing in qualitative research, and group and interpersonal psychotherapy. In testimony to her goal as a scholar-practitioner, she holds Fellowship status in Division 17, Counseling Psychology of the American Psychology Association for achievement in scholarship and Diplomat status in Counseling Psychology, American Board of Professional Psychology as the highest distinction in professional practice. Her current writing is in the areas of mentoring and coaching as relevant to creating communities of practice in corporate environments.

In addition, she is investigating the systemic effects of “toxic” behaviors within organizational cultures and the role of coaching in these situations.
