How to Get Involved

What to do if you would like to be considered

If you are interested in being a Mentor in this program, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Complete the on-line application

Step 2: Once your application is complete and has been submitted, the program director will contact you to set up an orientation phone call

Step 3: If you are accepted, the following will occur:

  • If you have applied to work with a specific student, and have named that student in the application, a mentor contract will be mailed out to you. Once completed and returned, you are officially a mentor faculty, and your first payment will be mailed to you
  • As our students reach that time in their doctoral journey (usually in their third year), they seek out mentors with areas of expertise related to their individualized learning interests. The two of you can discuss the compatibility and determine if this is an appropriate mentoring relationship

Step 4: If you are accepted as a mentor faculty, you will be notifiedby the program and a contact will be issued

You are welcome to call the Program Director, Dr. Laurien Alexandre (323-666-8181) or email her at lalexandre@phd.antioch.edu with any questions or comments.
