Professional Development Models

Sessions are facilitated by nature-based education professionals.

We provide professional development in three different models:

Facilitated Workshop

Our workshops provide active exploration of a topic with time for reflection and discussion. Through meaningful conversation, engaged exploration and shared examples, participants are empowered to start making changes to their teaching and will leave with a plan for how to bring these ideas into their program.

On-Site Consultation

With the possibility of facilitating an interactive workshop, leading an in-house PLC, or simply consulting on a given topic, one of our nature-based education professionals will come to your site for this transformative work.

Facilitated Professional Learning Community (PLC)

Each PLC is an opportunity for educators to come together with a facilitator and grow their understanding in a particular topic area over an extended period of time. With regular communication, consistent meeting times, and opportunities for hands-on learning teachers will collaborate to analyze and improve their indoor and outdoor classroom practices. We will share experiences, knowledge, success stories, and challenges we have faced and will each walk away with a deeper understanding of how our work as educators can benefit from a more nature-based focus.
