Faculty Development

The Center for Teaching and Learning offers quarterly workshops and forums that engage faculty in collegial, intellectual, and practical conversations on issues related to teaching and scholarly activity at AUS. These programs offer collaboration among faculty across programs. Faculty may also request a personal consultation regarding issues related to teaching.

Forums can cover any topic, and faculty suggestions are welcome. The CTL’s regular workshops cover topics such as responding to student writing, writing narrative assessments, using technology in the classroom, getting the most out of Sakai, syllabus/course development, integrating composition into your courses, and crafting strong assignments and assessments.
