Anjali Enjeti is a journalist, activist, and former attorney based near Atlanta. She is the author of the critically acclaimed books Southbound: Essays on Identity, Inheritance, and Social Change, and The Parted Earth, a novel. Her new book, Ballot, tells the story of voting and voting rights in an increasingly anti-voting climate. In 2022, she was named Georgia author of the year and has received other awards and fellowships. Her essays and articles have appeared in the Los Angeles TimesBoston GlobeHarper’s BazaarOxford American, and elsewhere. She also teaches creative writing in the MFA program at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia.
