Christine Forte

Antioch University Santa Barbara

Christine Forte is a core faculty member and the University Librarian for the Antioch University library system.  Previously, she was a research and instruction librarian and also taught courses in AUSB’s Undergraduate Completion and MAE programs.

Her interest in new technologies coupled with a curiosity about information systems led her to a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science. That same interest in new technologies combined with a curiosity about how people learn led her to a doctoral program in Education.

With a goal of supporting faculty and students on their path of lifelong learning, Christine helps learners build on their existing expertise to become agile library researchers.  Part of this work is supporting learners to make connections between academic library resources and other information systems that thrive on the open Web.  This work helps individuals create rich mental maps of information ecosystems that aid them as they work toward their personal and professional goals.
