I began working with children and adolescents in 2003 when my daughters entered school. I was actively involved in The Open Classroom, a co-op specializing in alternative learning methods for students. I worked as a freelance graphic artist before receiving my master’s degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis in professional clinical counseling and depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Montecito, California.
I have experience working in a hospital setting and served as a supervisor at Vista del Mar Hospital during the Thomas fires when flames annihilated it. I have experience as a Clinical Program Director working with adolescents and their families in the residential setting at an extremely high level of acuity and have maintained a flourishing private practice, Strawberry Fields Psychotherapy, since 2018. I am a Certified EMDR clinician with EMDRIA and am passionate about the effects of trauma on the individual and humanity. I utilize DBT, Jungian (Depth) theory, Polyvagal Theory, and Existential therapy in my practice. I am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Jungian Analyst and learning to scry.
When not building rapport with clients, honing my clinical skills, or formulating treatment plans, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. I adore my 155-pound Cane Corso, Cowboy; my French Bulldog, Jean Redcorn; and my cat, Mordecai Goldman. I am a voracious reader and an avid hiker, and I struggle to decide which I love more: the forest or the desert.

As an instructor, my primary objectives are to motivate and assist students in their development as competent clinicians while mitigating the risk of burnout and trauma during their licensure journey. Furthermore, I maintain a rigorous adherence to APA formatting, recognizing its essential role in our field.
