Susan Lang

Susan Lang, MA, LMFT, received her California Teaching Credential at College of Notre Dame Belmont, a master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in early childhood education from California State University Northridge, and a master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara.

She served as a Senior Fellow in the California Mathematics Project while teaching elementary school, and was Associate Director of the Early Equity in Science and Mathematic Project, funded by the National Science Foundation, for ten summers. Since leaving the classroom, Susan has focused primarily on infants, young children, and their families and has worked as a child development specialist for Welcome Every Baby; Child’s Path, a children’s mental health program; and Early Start, a program for children with developmental delays.

Susan has made numerous presentations at conferences, including the National Association of Early Childhood Educators and the California Association of Mathematic Teachers. Susan is also the co-publisher of Christmas in Santa Barbara, which explores the rich multi-cultural roots of her beloved city.

 

Currently, Susan has a part-time private practice in addition to being an affiliate faculty member at Antioch University in the Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Education programs. Susan is the 2015 recipient of AUSB’s 5th Annual Award for Excellence in Teaching.
