Sylvan Butera Rich, MA, has a Masters Degree in Education from the University of California, Los Angeles with an emphasis in urban education, and a Bachelors Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in English Literature. She has a multiple subject credential and has taught third, fourth, and fifth grade including a year in Special Education as a Resource Specialist. Sylvie started her educational career as a Teach for America-Corps member in East Los Angeles. Her interests include working with new teachers and graduate students, guiding and mentoring their application of educational theory to practice.
