John Richards, MBA, is a senior level executive with success in the sports, computer and oil industries. John is skilled in Strategy Development, Manufacturing, Sustainability, Philanthropy, Corporate Social Responsibility, Supply Chain, Global/International Management.

In the last year, John has been consulting for several startups, assists businesses in the apparel and footwear industry across a variety of functional areas.

John spent 29 years at Nike, Inc, in several executive positions related to strategic planning, merchandizing, demand & supply, operations, and distribution. He spent five years leading the startup and implementation of Nike’s European Headquarters, centralized planning, buying, inventory management and distribution in Amsterdam. The European Logistics Center facility in Belgium now is considered at the leading edge of eco-efficient facilities. John was also President of Nike Indonesia for seven years, living and working in Jakarta, Indonesia. In that time Nike expanded its business threefold. More recently, John led the Global Sustainability and Social Responsibility team at Nike, living and working in Singapore. Returning to Headquarters, John led a strategic, innovative restructuring of Nike Operations. Prior to Nike, John worked for computer and oil related companies in areas of operations and finance. He is also currently a student in the Antioch MFA program.

John has three grown children and is living in Santa Barbara with his spouse, Julie, and golden retriever puppy, Mac.
