Judy Stephenson

Judy Stephenson has served as Executive Director of University Advancement since July 2011. She works with Grady Jones in supporting the Advancement staffs at Antioch campuses in Keene, New Hampshire; Yellow Springs, Ohio; Los Angeles; Santa Barbara and Seattle.

Just prior to coming to Antioch, she was an adjunct instructor at Florida State University. Before that position she was the Director of Foundation Relations at Jacksonville University (Florida) for five years. She managed the university’s efforts in all aspects of foundation grant seeking and stewardship, and she assisted faculty with the submission of major government grant applications. She also served as staff to a successful $54 million capital campaign for the university.

She began his career in higher education in 1983 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington managing a statewide training program for the College of Medicine. As part of the position she increase external sources of funding by 1,000 percent in eight years. This increase included federal state, and local grant awards, and income from training fees.

Ms. Stephenson received a B.A. degree in geography with a math minor at Morris Harvey College. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Kentucky.

Stephenson is married and has two sons. She is an ardent amateur photographer, especially outdoor photography, and reads voraciously, unless it is the gardening season.
