Psychological Assessments
Psychological assessments typically combine individual interviews and testing to gather information about a person’s cognitive abilities, personality structure, as well as diagnosis and treatment needs. The amount of information and testing that goes into each individual’s assessment is guided by referral and diagnostic questions. Psychological Assessment and Diagnostic reports are completed in about six weeks from the last testing session.
Psychoeducational Assessments
We provide assessments of learning disabilities in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics, and processing deficits such as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD) and Nonverbal Learning Disability (NVLD). All of our learning disability and attention deficit test reports meet the documentation guidelines for accommodations on the following examination: ACT, SAT, GRE, and PRAXIS.
Our comprehensive test batteries include tests of cognitive abilities and functions, academic achievement, behavior and learning skills checklists, and a clinical interview. In appropriate cases, additional personality measures are included.
The interview and testing require 8-12 hours, which can be broken up into 2-4 sessions. Psychoeducational assessment reports are completed in about six to eight weeks from the final session of testing. A typical test battery may consist of: a clinical interview, test of cognitive abilities, a standardized personality test and projective testing. The amount of information and testing that goes into each individual’s assessment is guided by referral and diagnostic questions.

Appointments & Fees
Call us at Antioch Psychological Services Center (PSC), at 603-352-1024. You may also send an email. We will complete a referral form, which includes demographic information plus the reason you are requesting an assessment. We require a $50 deposit at this time, which will be deducted from your total fee.
Within a week of receiving your deposit, you will be contacted by your assessment clinician, who will gather more specific information about the referral and schedule your first assessment session. He or she will explain the forms we require before the assessment can begin, such as the Testing Referral and Consent Forms. You may download these forms from the Assessment Forms page or they can be mailed to you upon your request.
Upon receiving a deposit fee for the assessment, the PSC sends out a packet of questionnaires. This information is to be completed by student and family and returned to Antioch PSC before testing begins. Failure to return the packet prolongs the scheduled date for testing and results in you being returned to the waiting list. In the case of a Learning disability or ADHD evaluation, we will need you to procure academic and prior assessment records for our review. This information provides crucial background information crucial for an accurate evaluation.
At certain times during the year, we have a waiting list; in that instance, we will give you an estimate as to when your assessment might begin.
Assessment Fees
Because we are a training clinic for doctoral clinical psychology students, we have very reasonable standard fees for our assessment services. Fees range from $400-1,000, depending on the referral question and tests needed.
- Therapeutic assessment
- Psychodiagnostic assessment
- Psychoeducational assessment
- Psychological assessment
- WAIS or WISC alone
Our fees may be adjusted at times, depending upon the purpose of the evaluation and the types of tests required. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the outset to hold your place on our active referral list, which will be credited toward the standard fee payment. An additional fee of $20 per hour will be charged for arriving late and/or missed appointments.
We ask that you pay your fee in full at your initial appointment. Questions concerning the fee or the payment policy should be discussed with your clinician before the assessment process begins. Full payment for the assessment must be paid in full no later than the last day of testing. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover credit cards. We do not bill insurance companies.
