Acceptable Use Policy

Home Departments & Offices Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy

Antioch University values technology as a means of communicating information and ideas to the AU community and the world. In keeping with AU’s commitment to utilizing technology in teaching and learning, the Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources Policy provides direction in the appropriate use of all forms of electronic resources. The policy applies to all users of electronic resources owned, managed, or contracted by AU, including, but not limited to, AU faculty and visiting faculty, staff, students, external persons or organizations, and individuals accessing external network services, such as the Internet and Intranet. Your use of AU-provided electronic resources is therefore contingent upon your acceptance and acknowledgment of the policy on an annual basis.

When you are setting up your AUDirect account for the first time, you will see the Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources Policy acknowledgment as part of that process. You must check the box indicating that you understand the policy before you can complete the setup of your AUDirect account. If you have previously set up access to AUDirect, but your acknowledgment has expired, the Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources Policy acknowledgment will appear after you log in but before you proceed to the AUDirect main page.
