Method to assess remote work: Regular check in meetings or emails/reports. Goal setting and project management. Outcomes would be assessed by meeting established deadlines, collaborative approach to work, and work product that meets criteria established at outset of a given project.

Job Description

  • Conduct research on current topics in higher education and student success (e.g. under-served student populations, scholarships, veterans, etc.).
  • Assist the AVCSS with the administrative tasks essential to furthering departmental goals in support of university-wide student success initiatives (mental health, veterans and military-connected programming, updating of SS sites, general administrative support)
  • Manage data, intra-university Google sites, newsletter, web content for various student success areas, etc.
  • Meeting planning and coordination include managing set up for department functions, helping organize guest speaker events, etc.
  • Public relations duties such as internal website updates, posting department news and events, and assisting with the department newsletter
  • Manage competing priorities and pending requests
    Other duties as assigned to support department needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Competent communicator, both verbally and written
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google, Adobe, and the Internet, with the interest and ability to learn new software programs
  • Familiarity with online learning systems helpful
  • Ability to create flyers, presentation slides, and narrated Zoom or Panopto video
    Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills
  • Team player
