David San Jose, PhD, received his BA in Communication with a minor in Education and Applied Psychology from UCSB and went on to complete his Masters in Communication from University of Hawai’i at Manoa. San Jose has taught many courses at Antioch University and Santa Barbara City College for over 8 years; Introduction to Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Fundamentals of Public Speaking, Selling Yourself Through Speech, Personal Development, and Interpersonal Communication in a Mediated World.
For the last few years, he has been teaching Antioch’s online Social Media course remotely from Auckland, New Zealand where he is a PhD Candidate in Education (School of Learning, Development and Professional Practice) – Specialization: Integration of Technology and Education at University of Auckland, New Zealand. The purpose of his studies is to evaluate the effectiveness of electronic portfolio (e-portfolio) assessment systems in contributing to student-learning by taking into account user’s technological abilities and attitudes, alongside the technological parameters of software systems.
