Mark Ray

Antioch University Seattle

Mark Ray is an Affiliate Faculty living in Vancouver, Washington, and teaching in the AUS School Library Endorsement Program. Named 2012 Washington State Teacher of the Year and a 2015 NSBA “20 to Watch,” for 27 years he served students and teachers as a teacher librarian, instructional technology coach, and district leader in Vancouver Public Schools and the International School of Brussels. Since 2019, he has served as a free-range educator, consulting and leading grants and projects supporting Pacific Northwest educators.

His 2016 TEDx Changing the Conversation About Librarians helped launch Future Ready Librarians, a national initiative he continues to lead. As a past collaborator with Future Ready, Digital Promise, ISTE, CoSN, and other organizations, he has explored innovative library programs, micro-credentials, online learning, international education, Open Educational Resources, and digital citizenship and literacy. He has presented internationally and has written for professional publications and blogs.
